TAX!

Often, the question of tax payment usually dominates discussions relating to revenue generation at the federal, state and local government levels. This is because tax is the most reliable source of revenue generation to the government. And in principle, it is the tax payers’ money that is usually used for developing the infrastructural systems that the society benefits from. For example, the provision of education, health cares service and other social amenities. Tax is a compulsory levy imposed by the government on the income, capital of its citizens for the purpose of raising revenue. Its imposition is of course, backed by law. As such, tax education plays a very vital role in the scheme of things. Most people have no idea what tax is, or why it is an imposed levy, the benefits and advantages of tax. Experience is EVERYTHING!

Knowledge and skill acquired is everything. This is a belief that I subscribe to given its relevance to me and probably many other people out there. A few years ago, what began as a brief holiday economic activity, spanned over a 3-year stretch and has put me in a position where I can rightly say I earned. In 2013, a few others and I worked with some expatriates under a company called Acciona Producciones y Diseno from Spain, contracted to equip the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) main building with Audio/Visual Operating System, Glass Shelves for mounting Artefacts and also to install the Lighting System. At the time, it was about making some extra cash; this expectation was eventually replaced with the need to learn and apply something new. And truly, the experience gained from working with these APD guys over the cause of three years has provided a job option as an Audio/Visual Technician in 2016. It should interest everyone reading this to note th
