I HAVE GROWN
Being just held after birth was not enough, so while tender still, I began to seat on my own. I wanted more, so I began to crawl, gently at first, then vigorously all about the house. Hey! Don't go there mama would cry sometimes! I would turn around and smile my cutest. I soon realized the strength of my legs, and i started to support my little frame with anything firm. Gradually I would let go and stand. The first time I achieved that, everyone clapped and cheered. Encouraged, i learnt to take little steps, and then the big ones after a fashion. My little steps grew and then I could run. By this time I could communicate with sounds, these would later develop into words and sentences. So you could say, that the moment I began to think for myself was the moment I realised that life was more. That it wasn't just about being alive or existing. I have grown from a child to a man now and I have got to think and fend for myself now. Things are not always easy, but things have always
