FAIL SAFE.

Suspicion trends in cases where certain details are not immediately clear to people. The same becomes a dangerous streak when it suddenly becomes a criterion. I understand the need for caution but i am unsure of how to respond to situations where people assume the worst about everything. How exactly can one put himself/herself out there if he/she does not think that anything is worth trying? The lot of us talk about moving forward as individuals but we neglect to consider the part where we must take a chance.
I know that not knowing can be scary but it can be just as exciting. The Thrill lies in the sudden discovery of the end game. Life is like a Poker game. One must deal the cards on hand. The trick is in the best cards. So the players all follow the same prescription even when they are unsure of what set of cards other players have.
Today, we live in a society where things do not always play out in the way and manner we expect them to. For most young people in Africa, this is true. This however does not mean that things cannot change or no good thing can happen where we are concerned. In the mist of all the confusion, disappointments and failures, there are people and groups who are genuinely working within the limits of integrity. Find them.
Information is one of the greatest tool the new age has provided. To be informed, one has to be aware. This is the advantage we have over the old age. It is easier to find out stuff. So in times when we are skeptical of a job opening, an event, a resource or network and details about all else, we only need to find out. This is the only way to minimize risk. It is dangerous to simply hide in your shell and refuse to exact yourself for fear of being exploited. The only way others can exploit you is if they know more than you do. To beat them at their own game, find the information relevant to you. Do not assume the worst and sit back, content to feel secure. To do otherwise is to invite the world to simply pass you by.
There are platforms and people through which we can stay informed with. Team up and get to digging. There is no 'fail safe' approach that is absolute, yet this is the best of them. We can hence manage the situations we find ourselves in, with our best cards.
